Why asking for password to add user?

  • I’m adding a user for Admin, done it many times before, and now saying error, please enter a password. Puzzled, never seen this before. What do?

    Kidding, couldn’t resist. All users do need a password set. The new user screen normally auto-populates the password field with some long, random password which is sent to the new user’s email address. You can change this if desired before submitting the form.

    For some reason, the field is not auto-populating, so you must enter a password manually. How to restore auto-population? The most likely cause of auto-population failure is a JavaScript error elsewhere, halting all subsequent JS. Check your browser console after loading the new user screen and correct any errors listed.
