From my experiments on Aug 2 at 7pm EST – just a few hours after 4.9.8’s official release, The Classic Editor behavior has changed:

    • hides the nag always for everyone when enabled
    • sets the option to “Replace the Gutenberg editor with the Classic editor.” by default

I’m very grateful to you for writing this plugin – looks like its popularity may have pushed the core team to make these changes.

Seems like it’s not needed in most cases now.

    Thanks for your comment.

It seems you’re right and that would mean: mission accomplished ??

    Have a great weekend!

It might be worth posting an update at the top of the description. If you search for “Classic Editor” this comes up in the #2 spot and starts w/ the description about the things C.E. doesn’t do…

Not bad with a presence in the Plugins Directory of only 25 days ??

In due time we will do an update, thank you for the suggestion.
