I have added variations to the product but where can I set the stock of each variation to 1 so that each option can only be purchased once?

  • On the product edit page, Product Data metabox, Inventory tab, ensure “Enable stock management at product level” is not checked.

Next, go the Variations tab and look at each variation in turn. Check the “Manage stock?” checkbox. Additional fields will now show to allow stock to be managed.

I didn’t see “Enable stock management at product level” at Inventory tab.

    Only below is seen.
“Sold individually Enable this to only allow one of this item to be bought in a single order”

Sorry, there is another step. Please go to:
    Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Products tab > Inventory sub-page
Ensure “Enable stock management” is checked. Then return to my previous post.

Is there a way to set hidding the out of stock variation but not the whole product?

    Hi there,

The out of stock variation will not be purchasable, however, it’ won’t be hidden.

If you’d like to hide out of stock variations – perhaps the custom code in this thread can be helpful:

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard from you in a while so I’ll be marking this thread as resolved.

Feel free to open a new thread and link to this one if you have further questions though.

    Have a wonderful day ahead!
