Screen wont scroll in editor

  • Since i updated my wordpress i am unable to scroll up or down once i highlight anything. Say i highlight a sentence in the middle or bottom of my screen and try to scroll up to the editor it wont move. This is on my ipad air by the way. Any help?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    I did. None of it worked.

    It could be a browser specific issue. Did you try using a different browser without script-blocking plugins?

    Yes i tried chrome and it didnt work. It works just fine on desktop and laptop just not any mobile browser whether safari or chrome

    I was, however, able to recreate the issue and considering other users have posted about the same issue unresolved it could just be a bug. Have you tried using the WordPress iOS app? It’s great and connects to your self-hosted WordPress blog. The iOS app editor is much better than mobile browser.

    Yes i have the app but isnt that for wordpress.com, however when i select wp-admin it takes me to the browser so i still end up with the issue.

    Hi, the app can be used with self-hosted WordPress as well. You just need to have the Jetpack integration. I’m not sure why it’s taking you to WP admin but the app lets you write posts inside of it.

    I know but the editing there is different. For instant i use smush for my images, in the WP app the images are inserted in the same size as i have or uploaded into my media library. Editong is not the same or gives me the same option as if i was working in my admin

    Hi, there will always be differences between the browser WP admin, mobile, and the app.

    It seems to be a WP Smush issue. I assume they’re still working on a fix since there haven’t been any updates to the post.

    What I can recommend as a workaround is to write your posts and then use desktop to add the images.

    Sorry, I wish I had a solution that didn’t require extra work ??

    Right, the issue is with Smush on the WordPress app.

    Okay wurpe hosting you’re misunderstanding mw. I have the app. It doesnt help me much when im editing because there are tools i need that yhe app doesnt have thats in wp-admin. So i have the app it just doesnt help me much other than go write the post. Since i travel the ipad is more convenient for me to use. Smush was just an example i gave of what the app doesnt ofdwd me that wp-admin does.

    My issue is scrolling on wp-admin in editing not smush and nothing to do with the app
