• I love the link checker plugin, because it really helps me to keep the 34.000+ links on my blog up to date.
A few suggestions though to make it even better:

    1. There are a few websites like tumblr and some private blogging platforms where the link checker runs into “consent-forms” (I guess this is only in the EU) and reports those pages as faulty, though they are not. Maybe there’s a way to catch this error?

    2. There should be an option to clean up simple url changes like ‘/’at the end and http to https with one click. These are the easiest to fix, but it is painstaking to do it all manually with tens of thousands of links..

    3. can you preview regular expression replacements for urls? Right now, it’s really dangerous to use this

    4. You’ve included web.archive.org, but it’s very tiresome to individually change all the links of one domain to a web.archive-url.

    5. this is really advanced, but how about a public database for url changes? sometimes blogs only chang little things in their urls or link to a different domain without using the correct http-protocols. A database where the plugin could look up where old urls have gone to, would be helpful.
