temporarily block certain hours

Hi

Is it possible to temporarily block reservations for certain dates/times if the restaurant is overbooked?

I can sort of work around it by adding exceptions “around” the blocked hours on given dates but is there a better/easier way of doing this ie by simply selecting the relevant hours to block directly (and hopefully then having the block auto expire once the time is past)
