Creating a new website if I have an established one already

  • Hi Guys, I’m looking to start fresh on my wordpress website but I would like to keep my current one active until I’m able to make it live. Is it possible to do this through my current account or would I need to make a new one?

    Check with your host to see if your hosting account allows you to create a 2nd site.

    My advice is to create a 2nd site, either on your current host or elsewhere. When you’re ready to flip the switch, you’d change either your DNS (to go to a different host) or your domain settings at the present host to determine what site is your domain.

    Sidenote: Moved to “everything else” as this is not a development topic.

    You can create second website but with different domain. You can manage this in two ways, either redirect one of the URLs to your primary domain, or create an alias for one of the URLs.
