• When I try to log into https://our.site/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

    This is what I keep getting…so much for the 5 minute install…it’s been 5 days!

    The file jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/chrome/en-GB.jar!/locale/browser-region/region.propertiesutopia.edu.au cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

    I’ve deleted the database (twice), and started again, but can’t get any further. Can some one help?

    When I try to log into WordPress Admin (via Firefox) https://utopia.edu.au/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, a window came up with:
    Page load error
    File not found
    The file jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/chrome/en-GB.jar!/locale/browser-region/region.propertiesutopia.edu.au cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

    Our Charity is now desperate to get our site up, can anyone help us?

    that does not resolve. thats not a domain name thats pointing to an IP.

    No-one can help you until the domain you give us actually points to an IP.

    Help with install….

    I have tried the 5 minute and extended versions. i have deleted and recreated the database, and redone all steps of the upload, etc. several times…..

    this is what i get when o go to “https://mydomainn.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

    WORD PRESS

    .__(‘Already Installed’).’

    ‘.__(‘You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.’).’
    ‘);} switch($step) { case 0: case 1: // in case people are directly linking to this display_header(); ?>

    ReadMe documentation at your leisure. Otherwise, just fill in the information below and you\’ll be on your way to using the most extendable and powerful personal publishing platform in the world.’), ‘../readme.html’); ?>

    two boxes appear here that look like they would be a user name and password, but they have no titles and I have tried every combination of user name and password I can think of.

    error) ) wp_die($wpdb->error->get_error_message()); display_header(); // Fill in the data we gathered $weblog_title = isset($_POST[‘weblog_title’]) ? stripslashes($_POST[‘weblog_title’]) : ”; $admin_email = isset($_POST[‘admin_email’]) ? stripslashes($_POST[‘admin_email’]) : ”; $public = isset($_POST[‘blog_public’]) ? (int) $_POST[‘blog_public’] : 0; // check e-mail address if (empty($admin_email)) { // TODO: poka-yoke die(‘

    ‘.__(“ERROR: you must provide an e-mail address.”).’
    ‘); } else if (!is_email($admin_email)) { // TODO: poka-yoke die(‘

    ‘.__(‘ERROR: that isn’t a valid e-mail address. E-mail addresses look like: [email protected]’).’
    ‘); } $wpdb->show_errors(); $result = wp_install($weblog_title, ‘admin’, $admin_email, $public); extract($result, EXTR_SKIP); ?>

    admin

    ‘.__(‘Note that password carefully! It is a random password that was generated just for you.’).”; ?>

    any help would be SOOOO appreciated

    Watch the following video for step-by-step directions on installing…if you don’t have Cpanel, then just use FTP for the file transfer parts.

    https://educhalk.org/blog/?p=1

    I watched the video and i have done all of this several times now. I have created a database, I have uploaded all the files by FTP. I have received and email from word press with my user name and password and the following link https://www.ads-software.com/support/. but I have no access to anything. I can not create a blog, There is no Admin Panel that I keep reading about…very frustrating.

    Any other ideas?

    There is no Admin Panel that I keep reading about

    What do you mean there is no admin panel? What happens when you log in?

    I see the tabs across the top…

    Home Showcase Extend About Docs Blog Forums Hosting Download

    Once I log in, there is a line that says:

    Welcome, Beckwith 2! with the option to view your profile or log out

    that is it. I do not have any option to set up a blog, access an admin panel, etc.

    Any help would be so great.
    Thanks!

    Also. I only have a log in opportunity when I go to www.ads-software.com/support

    Uh…it sounds like you’re trying to access your blog here at the forums – you need to point your browser to YOUR WEBADDRESS to run the install and access the admin panel.

    When I point my browser to my web address to run the install, I get the message

    .__(‘Already Installed’).’

    ‘.__(‘You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.’).’ ETC.

    I have pulled the files off my server and deleted the database and repeated the upload process several times now.

    I am at a loss for what to do next
