Image Editor Ruins Resolution
-
Okay…can anyone explain this one?
I noticed in IE that all my images were pixelated and had terrible resolution. When you click them to see the full size, the images are fine. In addition, the images look fine in FF, Chrome and Safari.
So, sorry, but you’re going to have to use IE to test this. Here’s a post where the image resolution is poor in IE. Almost all of these images were resized using the rollover function in the WYSIWYG editor that allows you to reduce the image size by a percent of the original. This post has a file that I resized before uploading and made no resizes within WP (ignore the dancing baby gif). As you can see the resolution is fine (at least close to the original). Here’s the link: https://www.doseofdigital.com/2009/04/simple-treatment-ailing-healthcare-website/
Note: I resized the images using a non-WP image editor, but I resized them to the exact dimensions that WP resized to when I used the WP editor. In other words, the dimensions of both images were the same.
What’s causing the image editor to do this? Is there a fix besides resizing and reuploading every image?
Thanks,
JMR
