I formerly had a great page of books displayed, now it is a blank page and a ton of errors filling up my error logs with things like this, even after reducing it to one single product (from about 8):

[28-Aug-2018 22:16:29 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: Items in /var/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/amazon-product-in-a-post-plugin/inc/amazon-product-in-a-post-aws-signed-request.php on line 1214
[28-Aug-2018 22:16:29 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: params in /var/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/amazon-product-in-a-post-plugin/inc/amazon-product-in-a-post-functions.php on line 794
[28-Aug-2018 22:16:29 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: Items in /var/www/mysite/wp-content/plugins/amazon-product-in-a-post-plugin/inc/amazon-product-in-a-post-aws-signed-request.php on line 1214

my short codes all looked identical to this (except for product id):
    [amazon-element asin="0763760021" fields="title,lg-image,desc"]

I even set up a new affiliate ID, and verified all info, and tested the API (all of which worked without error) but still no love. I am at my wits’ end…what else can I try to get my list of books back? This was so easy and great before…

  • Stephen,
Sorry you are having issues with the plugin.

We are about to release an update to the plugin that should reduce the Error Notices – in the meantime, if you go to the settings and turn on the “Quick Fix” option, it should stop the notices from being output and written to the error log.

As for why items are not showing up – that is a bit more difficult to address without any information about your install of WordPress and your server settings. Things like PHP version, PHP settings, WordPress version, other plugins and plugin settings can all cause issues if they are not set correctly.

If you could send the site URL and the debug key (located in the plugin settings) to us at [email protected], then we can view the plugin settings and debug information and see what might be causing the issue. DO NOT post them here, please.

    Warm regards,
    Don
