    Hi,
I am a beginner trying to set up weight based shipping fee on my website.
I have installed the plugin “Woocommcerce weight based shipping” but I am facing a small error. I have 3 rules with flat rate within each rule. Even when the weight falls under the second/third rule, the shipping price being reflected is of the 1st rule. Can you please help me here.
Kindly go through the URL mentioned below (for reference)

Also, can you please explain the terms “order weight” and “order subtotal”. Earlier I had entered the details in both the order weight and order subtotal fields. But when the order weight fell in the second or third category, it would display the following on the check out page “no shipping method is available”. Then I started leaving the order weight field empty and the result was what is mentioned in my previous message.

    Suggestions from anyone are welcomed.
    Thank you in anticipation.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the screenshots.

Order Weight is the total weight of all items in the order. Shipping is usually more expensive for heavier orders. With that condition you can set your shipping price for different order weights.

Order Subtotal is the total price of all items in the order including taxes if they are. The most common usage of the condition is to offer a free shipping option for orders above some price threshold.

As per your issue description it looks like the issue might be that you are providing weight ranges to Order Subtotal instead of Order Weight. Is that the case?

If the above doesn’t help, please gather the following information to help me with helping you.

Thank you for the prompt response, Dan.

I tried making the following changes
(Please refer https://ibb.co/nmdVfK) but as soon as I did that, all the prices on my website came down to zero and the currency changed from “Rs.” to Dollars. (Please refer
?https://ibb.co/gEk47z). I got a little worried so I tried undoing all the changes by doing what I had done earlier but it is still showing zero as the value of my products. Also, the backend is reflecting the right price but not the frontend.
    ?
I have also tried changing the currency back to INR (Rs.). Even though I am choosing INR as the preferred option, the front end is still reflecting Dollar as the currency
    ? – please refer https://ibb.co/bWzLfK
    ? ??
The idea is to have 3 categories of weight based shipping charges. For products less than 2 kgs the flat shipping rate is Rs.100.
    ?
For products between 2-4 kgs the flat shipping rate is Rs.200.
For products heavier than 4 kgs the flat shipping rate is Rs.300.

Kindly help me at the earliest.

The plugin doesn’t control product prices and currencies. It’s highly unlikely that your changes in shipping rules led to the issue.

It might be related to the Currency Switcher module of the Booster for WooCommerce plugin. So I’d suggest to contact their support.
