    Hi,

We are having an issue in that our weekly backup fails to run to completion. The daily database backup runs fine.

We are not sure what the errors are. Any assistance is greatly appreciated

    —————————————
    Max retries = 5
Max Execution time = 90 (increased because first full backup failed)
    Reduce Server Load = Maximum

The error we are getting is

    Hi @jviseur
Please try to set Max Execution time to 25 secs then try again.
If this didn’t help you, enable debug log, BackWPUp -> Settings -> Logs -> Logging Level -> Debug(not translated), re-run the job again and send us latest debug log.
    Thanks!

    Hi @duongcuong96

Sorry for responding so late. We have been very busy. I have set the Max Execution time to 25 Seconds as requested and am manually running backup now. Where do I send the debug log to if it fails (you can email me using [email protected] if need be)

    Hi @duongcuong96,

Have you managed to find the reason as to why our full backups fail?

    Thanks,
    John Viseur

In my case it’s the cron job which was the issue.

I still want to find the root cause though because I prefer keeping the “real” cron instead of the WordPress standard

    (@duongcuong96)

    Hi @jviseur
Sorry for my delayed response, did the issue resolved for you now?
if not, please try the following solution:
First, you must enable debug log by go to BackWPUp -> Settings -> Logs -> Logging Level -> Debug(not translated)
    – Using another backup archive like Tar, TarGzip …
    – Go to BackWPUp -> Settings -> Job tab -> Reduce server load and choose medium(set to maximum if the issue still happens) and then try again

If these steps didn’t help, give me latest debug log file at BackWpUp -> Logs

    Thread Starter jviseur

    (@jviseur)

    @duongcuong96

    Thank you for responding.

Because it wasn’t working we set it to run manually and hence it didn’t run.

I have set all the settings as suggested and it will run around 3:00 am

Tomorrow I shall see what the results are and come back to you.

    Hi @duongcuong96,

I switched the debug log on as requested but found nothing at all in the debug logs in the specified directory.

When I go into the job and click on Log I get the entries below which is what I reported right at the beginning. I could attempt to enter this in the cron provided by the host but would need to know what to enter.
