I’ve tried everything I can think of to get WooCommerce to combine shipping and it’s still stacking the costs for individual items. Here’s what I’ve done to save time and energy for anyone who can help:

    — Made sure I chose flat rate packaging (USPS Priority Mail) ONLY
    — When that didn’t work, added back in other USPS options
    — When that still didn’t work, double-checked to be sure I had chosen the “Pack Items Together” option (I had)
    — Stil not working so I used the “Packaging Manager” to add specific packages. I don’t see what good this does though because, in my product pages, I don’t have the option to specify these packages I’ve added.
    — I made sure, anyway, that my products all reflected the size packages I had specified in the Packaging Manager.

And still…. it’s not combining shipping. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    D

    Hi there!

The “Packaging Manager” should be used to define the boxes you have to pack items into. If you’re using “Priority Mail Flat Rate”, you don’t need to add anything to the Packaging Manager, since the boxes you are going to use are provided by USPS.

I took a look at your store, and I think the problem may be that the items are too big. You configured them as being “6 x 6 x 1” inches (which seems a bit too big for a guitar strap). So, if you only have configured the Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box (“5-3/8 in x 8-5/8 in x 1-5/8 in”), there’s no way to fit 2 of your items in the same box. I recommend you try enabling bigger Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, or you make sure your products have the correct size.

Please let us know if that helps ??

Hi guys! Thanks for the advice! So I had found a plug-in for flat-rate shipping that I ended up installing as it was pretty simple and it working well.

But I did want to also offer 1st class package, so I followed your advice for putting the *actual* size of the product (I thought I was supposed to put the shipping box size) in the product options and made the package larger for the 1st class package and it’s now calculating/combining correctly for that product! Time to go and update the rest of the products with the right dimensions ?? Thanks so much!
