wonky sitemap results on google serp

Hey everyone,
When you do a search for “the global glutton”, random images within blogs are returned for google’s serps. The following are examples:
– home-2
– Kauai Pier
– IMG_1314

We have our sitemaps included in our Google Search Console so I’m really confused as to what this could be. Could Google count attacks (from hackers?) as a sign that that content is relevant? Any help on where to find some answers would be greatly appreciated.
