    Hello,

Within my Yoast Sitemap there seems to be an error. when you click on /post-sitemap.xml it loads the page with the corresponding posts, but when you click on /page-sitemap.xml the page takes a long time to load and then is blank. I have tried deactivating plugins to see if there is a conflict but no luck.

In GSC it also shows that my /page-sitemap.xml is not in a supported format. If anyone has input on how I can resolve this that would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Craig

  • Can you please confirm if you are getting the same behavior with Yoast SEO 8.2? Also, have you tried clearing your site’s cache? Does increasing your server timeout resolve the issue?

Thanks for the reply, jerparx. I have now resolved the issue by increasing my server timeout. I am still having problems with my sitemap though, when I upload my sitemap to Google Search Console I still get an error for the page-sitemap saying “Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.”

Do you have any how to resolve this / what would be causing this?

    Appreciate any input!

    Hi Craig,

Can you attach a screenshot of the errors, so that we may better understand? You can upload it to any image sharing website, such as Imgur and share the link here.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
