• Hi, I’m using WordPress 2.7.1 I have a static page as my home page on my blogsite. I copied and pasted the code from Bravenet into the end of my page text for a mailing list sign-up box from Bravenet. I’ve had some people tell me that they fill out the name and email fields and hit “subscribe” and nothing happens.

What could be wrong? Maybe I need to have someone to go inside my site’s Dashboard and look at the code? I trust my one friend to do it.

Or, should I just hunker down and take an HTML class?

This is really a big deal because my mailing list is really important to my business. So, I’d really appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    Lisa

Yes ?? But not only to resolve this issue.

First thing to look at – does your form have an “action” attached to it? Or does your form rely on some kind of javascript that means that hitting the “enter” button is broken as a submission method?

Give us a link to your site and we can take a look.

    Thanks for writing back ??

I believe my form has a javascript in it.

The weirdest thing is that I repasted the code yesterday and was able to unsubscribe myself. But, today, I couldn’t subscribe myself…ugh.

My site is https://www.angelbearhugs.com I’m a bit shy about sharing it, but oh well…lol. It’s a work in progress, so not perfect as of yet.

I’m searching for a good on-line HTML class…I learn best that way. But, I may have someone design me a custom theme with all the bells and whistles LOL.

    Thanks,
    L
