While trying to display photos from flickr album. sort parameter value does not work. When I upload new photos to album they get added at bottom. I have to manually edit flickr account album to display new photos at top.I have tried all values for sort but behavior remains same.

    [gallery type='flickr' user_id='143853706@N02' view='photosets' photoset_id='72157697926886052' media='photos' columns='1' tag_mode='any' sort='date-taken-desc' per_page='100' more='Show More' photo_count='1' photo_more='PopShow' headers='' layout='random' caption='title' thumb_size='q' main_size='k' collections_display='lazy' ]

Flickr Albums don’t allow you to sort by date in their API. If you see their documentation, they don’t have an option to sort.

As a matter of fact, even if you view an album in Flickr directly (without the API or without Photonic), it doesn’t have an option to sort (i.e. an end-user cannot sort). E.g. If you go to one of my albums, you cannot sort it – you will see what I have set up behind the scenes. The API essentially behaves in the same manner – it has to respect what you have defined.

That being said, the way you can fix this is set the sorting for the album directly in Flickr – instead of manually rearranging the the photos each time, you can set your album preferences via Arrange → Arrange by date uploaded (newest first). Photonic will show it in that sequence.
