    Hi,

I am not receiving email confirmation.
    1) Should the admin email and email recipient be same?
    2) our host from digital pacific is too restricted, plugins themes are being upload thru filezilla. can this be the cause?
    3) But im getting the forms in the Response section.
    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Glen

  • Hey there, @glennuestro!

There’s a bunch of possible causes for this, I’ll reply to your points first:

    1. No, any working email address will do.
    2. As long as plugins can be activated succesfully, that shouldn’t be an issue.
    3. You’ll always get responses – but emails will land only if your WordPress setup is actually able to send emails.

Point 3 is the key: let’s first check if your WordPress setup can send emails. A quick check:

    1. Log out of your Dashboard.
    2. Head back to your /wp-login.php screen.
    3. Click the Lost your password? link.
    4. Enter your administrator email address, then click Get New Password.

If the email lands, you’re free to ignore it – we’ll need to look elsewhere. Otherwise, your WordPress installation has an issue with emails.

In any case, I’d suggest an SMTP plugin: that ensures all HappyForms email features are supported, and that your messages won’t be marked as spam.

    Let us know your discoveries!
