I want to make a slight amendment to the file woocommerce/includes/class-wc-breadcrumb.php

	/**
	 * Product tag trail.
	 */
	private function add_crumbs_product_tag() {
		$current_term = $GLOBALS['wp_query']->get_queried_object();

		$this->prepend_shop_page();

		/* translators: %s: product tag */
		$this->add_crumb( sprintf( __( 'Products tagged &ldquo;%s&rdquo;', 'woocommerce' ), $current_term->name ) );
	}

I want to edit it to this:

	/**
	 * Product tag trail.
	 */
	private function add_crumbs_product_tag() {
		$current_term = $GLOBALS['wp_query']->get_queried_object();

		$this->prepend_shop_page();

		/* translators: %s: product tag */
		$this->add_crumb( sprintf( __( '%s', 'woocommerce' ), $current_term->name ) );
	}

But I don’t want to overwrite the original WC plugin file. Is there a way to do this by override via functions.php?

Thanks I will read up on this soon.

Although I have reservations about whether I will be able to edit this part of the breadcrumb only, and not the breadcrumb on other areas of the site, but I will read up.

You can also copy the woocommerce/includes/class-wc-breadcrumb.php file to the active theme and apply your changes there. For a list of templates and more on how to do this can be found here:

Oh right I thought I tried that and it didn’t work. So it doesn’t only apply to files that are in the templates directory?

@cluber22 review that page i sent you. You need to write a hook and you need to make sure your theme actuslly has a breadcrumb snippet in it. If it doesn’t none of this will show up.

What theme are you using?

(@cluber22) depending on which version of Shopkeeper you have it is in Customize > Shop > Shop Layout > Breadcrumb is first thing. Make sure it’s on.

@stefsternyc Yes the breadcrumb is on and I can see it, however I only want to amend the breadcrumb for one particular page (tags page) and have the normal breadcrumb on my other pages unaffected.
