WooCommerce to show cross-sells on a product page by showing Featured Image 2

    I want WooCommerce to show cross-sell-s on a product page by showing “featured image 2” image of the product. I have already added cross-sells to product page by adding a snipet into functions.php in the child of Porto theme. However, I do not want it shown as product style by default (title, main image, add to cart). I want each cross-sells product to be shown (visualy represented) by featured image 2 of that product (only featured image 2 to be shown, nothing else), and when you click featured image 2 you go to that cross sell. I suppose it needs small change in functions.php

    Is “featured image 2” something added by the theme, because products should only have gallery and product images. If so, you may want to reach out to the theme author for help.

    Authors of Porto theme told me to ask for support here cos they are not interested to help out of standard functionality.
    For me, it is not important to use “featured image 2”, i can use any image that is not main product image and that is not within the gallery. So it has to be some other image…
    I will accept if you have any other idea how to asign image in other way and display as product main image for crossselss section. (and not product main image under archive display).
    I suggested featured image 2 cos i have it within the website (probably by Porto themes).

    In other words, how to show cross sells by some other image, that is not within the gallery and is not the main product image. (no title, no buttons, only that one image)?

    So in order to do that, you will have to apply some custom code that replaces the placeholder image for related products. I found this article that may help but it too will still need to be customized so that it’s specific to related product images:
