How to find options to make changes in gear theme

  • I am very new to blogs. I am trying to use the gear theme for my wife’s website. I need to change the images on the main page to fit here site. It says that there is an options page, but where? I have looked at many of the files but no luck for me. I thought there might be a button on the main page to help me. I hope this is not just another dumb question.   • I have not used the gears theme, but normally there will be a file called functions.php and/or once the theme is active you will see a link to make changes under the ‘Appearance’ section of your WP admin.
    I am meeting a client in about 20 minutes, so I will take a peek at the theme when I get back and post some more useful info.

    Thanks, you provided enough information for me to make the first set of changes, so I will study some more to make another change. I may want to change the banner with the world in it. The option for banners is six but I think I would like to add another, is this complicated?
