Cannot lookup by city name

  • Weather can only be looked up by id, does not allow lookup by city name. Makes incorporating into my dynamic site impossible.

    Unfortunately, yes.
    At the moment we are not providing this kind of service (reversing location’s city and country name to lat/long or ID) through our widget.
    But we’ll take this issue into consideration for the future versions.

    If you don’t have a site with endless locations, at the moment, a workaround would be (instead of classical sidebar widget) to find IDs for several cities and then populate shortcode with IDs.

    one might say, for the widget not having a wanted feature – it may not be enough of a reason to give it the poorest rating.
