    Hi there,

Is there a way to list sub-categories on a separate page and not have them appear on the main page? For example, I would like to have the main categories consist of the US states and then the sub-categories be towns/cities within those states. Is there a way to make it so when the user clicks on Alabama for example, they are taken to a page with the sub-categories for Alabama?

    Thank you,

    Scott

    Hi @sgtech,

Are you using the Enhanced Categories module? That allows for parent/child category navigation like you suggest above. That’s something we give away for free when you sign up for our directory email course at https://businessdirectoryplugin.com

With that said, we don’t recommend doing categories as states–that’s why we created the Regions module, to allow you to filter listings by category and location separately.

Our regions module has a “regions browser”, where you can have the functionality you seek above by using a shortcode.

You can see the Regions module here:

Try that and let me know if you run into more issues.
