Images not loading

  • Recently, I noticed that the featured images on the front page are not loading. It’s just a blank space. I have a square grid for the front page and the first two show up but none of the others.

    I think there was a recent update, which is around the time I noticed this started happening. I allow Jetpack to serve the images and have enabled lazy loading and it’s never been an issue until now.

    When I’m logged in admin, it works as it should, but once I log out, everything is blank even in incognito mode. Something happened but I can’t identify what it is.

    Hi @kjam, we saw a few issues with Lazy Load that were fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the Jetpack plugin. Can you give that a try? I’ve mentioned your case on this issue as well:

    I uninstalled the plugin and then reinstalled it. Cleared my cache and the problem remains. I saw the GitHub post and deactivated the lazy load images and now it works.

    However, I have to tell you that I also have the WP Fastest Cache plugin and they just added lazy load for images as well. I did not test it against Jetpack but that may have been the issue (though it wasn’t until your recent update).

    Anyway, for now, I’ll just use theirs and go back and check the performance on my site a bit later. Thanks for getting back with me!
