Default user-related field values

  • Hello,
    first, thanks for this clean, brilliant plugin.
    It seems to work like a charm, but I’m struggling with a feature my client is asking.
    He wants to manage his customers via zendesk tickets, but he needs some additional custom (user) fields not provided by Zendesk, for example address, VAT number…
    All fields “logically” related to users, not to a specific ticket/form, obviously.
    I was planning to add some user custom fields on WordPress users (using some other third-party plugin), but how could I “import” those data in the zendesk forms as default values for custom fields?

    Hi @neroavorio, apologies for the slow reply!

    This will not be possible with the plugin at the moment, unfortunately. However we would like to add it in future. It may be a while until we can add it though, due to some complexities in the Zendesk API for user fields.

    As a possible workaround, it might be possible to setup a Trigger or Automation which copies Ticket Field data into User Fields. I don’t know if that will be available though, as it is not something I have done before.
