Focus keyword automatically inserted on Category Pages but not Product Pages

    Focus keyword automatically inserted on Category Pages but not Product Pages

    When i go to Edit My category pages i see the focus keyword was automatically inserted in the snippet preview section.

    How comes this doesn’t happen for Product Pages ?

    Also my Product Pages meta titles are not coming up with the keywords i inserted along with the separators. are they there but maybe the automatically title that is being pulled from the product is too long and that’s why I am not seeing everything ?

    Hi @d2s29445,

    The focus keyword is automatically set as the title for taxonomies only. In general, product titles tend to be long and to contain technical information of the product, which would not make a great focus keyword.

    However, if you believe this would be a useful feature for products, it would best to create a new feature request for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You can create a new issue to submit your feature request. You will need an account to create one.
