    Hi,
RE-Captcha can be a real pain for customers, but I keep getting spam submissions in my Reviews. I have considered checking the WordPress Settings box for “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” but I’m concerned that would require the CUSTOMER to register as a wordpress user (and not just a WooCommerce store Customer) and/or at the very least, require the customer to log into their Store account on our store.

How can I set up my Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin and WordPress Settings so someone who has PURCHASED from the store can leave a review WITHOUT having to log into their Store Account and WITHOUT having to register/log in to a wordpress user account AND WITHOUT having to enter a RE-Captcha?

If a person has PURCHASED a product, they should automatically be allowed to leave a review without jumping through any hoops… and NO ONE else should be able to leave a review. How can I accomplish that?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugin!
You will need to just install our plugin it will provide the feature automatic send the review form to purchased use. When any user purchase a product from your website you will receive orders and after some time you will mark the order complete from wordpress dashboard at that time our plugin sent the review form link to your purchased customer via E-mail automatically.

Our plugin also used the Re-captcha under “Review Extensions” tab here you can enable to secure your reviews from spam.

Our plugin send the review form directly mail and it is hosted by our AWS server so it is 100% secure through spam.

For achieving only purchased user review you will need to go to the woo-commerce setting tab, click on products tab scroll down below you have got the checkbox “Reviews can only be left by “verified owners” check that box then only logged in customer can able to review your product through product page.

Please review our getting started guide => https://cusrev.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000051291-getting-started-tutorial

As explains above, this can be accomplished with aggregated review forms which URLs are known only to the customers. Please refer to the Getting Started guide (link in the previous post) for more information.

I hope this answers your question.

The spam issue is the issue holding me back from using this plugin. In my current setup I am using the stock WordPress reviews that are being cleaned by the Akismet Anti Spam plugin. It works great and I have not gotten a since spam comment since implementing. However, the functionality of the WP standard reviews is pretty lame. Do this plugin work with Akismet??

This plugin uses the standard WooCommerce reviews, so I don’t anticipate any disruptions to your current setup.

This plugin doesn’t need Akismet because customers can submit reviews only in response to invitations. A third-party person will never be able to get an invitation unless (1) they buy something from your shop and (2) you configure the plugin to send them a review invitation.

I hope this answers your question.
