I use Ad Labels in Placements for banner/pic ads.

Whenever i do, the bottom is slightly cut off as in the following pic:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hmh5x88v09n21ja/Ad%20text.jpg?dl=0

It’s not a huge amount, but it looks a little scrappy.

The other ‘issue’ – well, not really an issue, but slight quibble, is that i’m unable to centre ads in my sidebar (or don’t know how). I’ve tried Ad Inserter, and it does have a feature to align ads wherever they are (including the sidebar. While that’s also a very good plugin, i’m not planning to move as i prefer some of AA’s features).

I’ve already given the plugin a 5 star rating, but want to thank you again for providing such a wonderful tool.

    Hi bbozzo,

thanks for reaching out and your kind words about Advanced Ads.

I think the ad-label problem could be solved with some custom CSS. Would you be willing to share a URL where I can see this live?

Advanced Ads has a center feature within the “Position” options on the ad edit page. It can’t center all types of ad codes, but if there is a custom solution, we will also find it.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas

Thank you for your fast reply!

You can see the Ad Label issue here:

I’m not entirely happy with the theme i’m using at present, so would custom CSS only work for this theme?

I’d like to find a different theme at some point, but i’ve had various problems with other themes, so i plan to stick with what i have until i finish up the site.

My current theme isn’t ideal, but it doesn’t have the problems that the others had.

You can just add the following CSS rule to fix it for your theme:

    .vivid-adlabel { height: 28px; }

If you don’t know how to apply custom CSS you can check out this tutorial.

It will probably not be a problem with another theme, so consider this a temporary fix.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
