• Okay, first off, my website is
    https://www.ihearthookah.com

    The Problem:
I changed the avatars to those silly ones that generate them from whatever. I can’t figure out how to get them back to the normal no avatar pictures.

    Another question:
Is there any way I can make default avatars for people who comment, that aren’t registered? Or do I have to let them stay at the no avatar avatars?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I can only find answers to single avatars.

Go to Gravatar.com and sign up using your current email address. The one that you have used for your wordpress account.

Then add your favorite image to this account. It will be displayed on your comments and profile

go to gravatar.com and change the image. It can take a while, but it can also be browser cache (very persistent) that makes that you don’t see the changes.

But, I don’t want it for just my avatar. I want it to take effect for all of the people that post on my site..
Like, when you sign up for myspace, you have that default no photo avatar. I want to get rid of those on my blog when my friends post. [I don’t want them to have to register to have an avatar] But I don’t mind them all being the same. I just think that the no photo avatar looks tacky.

Aaaaah. See “settings” and “discussion” in the WP admin (way below). I doubt you can change the images you can choose from, since they also seem to come from Gravatar.com, but maybe somebody has an idea.

    anyone?
I know there’s someone out there that knows how to do this..

Did you look where I pointed you to? You can choose between 6 or 7 different default avatars of which at least 3 are generated ‘on the fly’.

Yes, I did.. But I don’t want it for just me.. I want it for all of my commenter’s.

When users submit a commennt on your site using their email address, that they have used for Gravatar, their image will be shown with the comment..
