    Hi there,

For some reason when trying to input text into the search form on my Android Mobile device (phone), using the chrome browser, the keypad appears and then disappears straight away, meaning I am unable to type any text into it. I have cleared the cache on the browser. It seems to work intermittently though. Not sure what could be causing this and whether there is anyone else experiencing this issue. Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Olly

  • Same error that happens to me. Also on iOS device or other browser like Firefox on Android, I noticed that the first tap does not work and the second instead shows the keyboard correctly.

Yes I have also now tried with other systems and browsers and it seems to be across the board. On the iOS you have to press twice, on the Androids it seems that it takes more (and some cases doesn’t happen at all). Any fix for this would be greatly appreciated as apart from this issue the plugin is the best of its type.

    Hi,
    Thanks for reporting.
I have fixed it, but I need to test it before official release. You can download the beta plugin version here. You can also download development version form the plugin subpage (scroll down do “PREVIOUS VERSIONS” and download “Development version” ).

Could you confirm, if the beta version resolved this issue? Don’t test it on the production environments if it is possible. Otherwise, make a backup.

Hi Damian, thanks for the quick fix on this issue. Unfortunately my development site is on my local machine so cannot test it on mobile. And as I am about to leave work I don’t really want to launch it on the production site as I won’t have time to fix it if there are any issues. Hopefully someone else can take up the mantel? If not I will run a test on monday.

    Cheers,
    Olly

Hi, I’ve tested the plugin on my production environment and everything works properly. No more typing problems on mobile.

    Thanks Damian!

Cool, had some problem with iOS, now can approve, BETA version works on mobile correct. Thanks.
