Intermedia Hosting – Getting Set-up
-
I’m not entirely sure how this process works. I may be overly complicating things. Any help would be appreciated.
First some background:
First thing I did was check out my host provider: Intermedia.net
Inside that control panel I activated the wordpress blog feature.
I also created a new mySQL database
And installed myPHPAdmin
All of those things are automated within the Intermedia.net Control Panel.
Once that was done .. this is what I ended up with … https://blog.designrefresh.com/Additionally, I went through the 5-minute set up guide from WP.
I’m not entirely sure I needed to do this or not but, I figured what the heck. I wasn’t entirely sure where to upload the “blog” folder (the folder that I downloaded from WPthat I renamed from “wordpress” to “blog”). So, I put it on the _root directory (/) as well as in my htdocs folder where my index.html file is.So, my questions are… when I go here … https://blog.designrefresh.com/ What am I looking at? Is this the blog?
When I click on the log-in button on the far right of that page. What login and password is it looking for? (My Intermedia hosting one, my database access one or my WP one)?
Because Intermedia automated the set-up Do I still need that “blog” folder I uploaded to the host server and if so – which location is better… the _root directory (/) or the htdocs directory where I have my index.html file etc.
