• I have been building websites for over 10 years. The classic editor is simple and easy, you hand it off to a customer, they can kind of click around and figure it out fine.

Gutenberg cuts everything up into blocks which breaks all existing formatting as well as makes it hard to copy and paste and really simple stuff that’s normally very easy.

It seems like almost nobody likes it but it will probably stay exactly the same and then shoved down our throats later.

I’ve designed interfaces myself (websites, apps, videogames), if your goal was to confuse the user, then mission accomplished!

For those using the classic editor but you’d like more features in it, check out TINY MCE Advanced, it’s a lot better than Gutenberg.

I’m going to look that up. Will it be available for use when Gutencrap is rammed down our throats? (I’m in a foul mood after spending hours screaming in rage at trying to do what I used to do easily in the original WP editor.)
