Cannot exclude categories

    Hello,

    I am trying to modify the default search form. When I select the categories to exclude, the search bar no longer works. No results display, as though it is excluding everything on my site from the search.

    I am using the theme MH Magazine.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    This can be the case that the excluded category is attached to every post therefore nothing is searched.

    Could you please share me the screenshot of Default search form settings and if possible also share me your site URL where you are using it so that I can troubleshoot it?

    For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, https://imgur.com/ or other image service. ??
