Search Bar

  • Hi,

    On my product catalogue I’ve removed the side bar but I’m still wanting to have a search bar. Is there any way of pulling through the search bar so it’s placed at the top of the products?

    Ignore the above message, I’ve managed to get the search bar on the page but it only searches products of that one page. How do I get the search bar to search all my products in every catalogue.

    Hi Jodie,

    We do have a search widget that comes with our plugin, but currently it can only target catalogue at a time (to make the widget work, you’ll have to enter the catalogue link in “The URL of your catalogue”)

    Is there a shortcode for the search bar? I want a search bar which will be in the header of my site but be able to search for the products in the product catalogue? Is this possible?

    Hi jodiecook95,

    Search option is currently available only through catalogue sidebar and through widget that you can place at any widgetized area in your theme. Unfortunately, there is no shortcode for displaying just the search bar. If you theme header allows the placement of a widget then you can add the widget by going to “Appearance” –> “Widgets” sidebar option in your WordPress. There you can drag and drop the “UPCP Search Bar” to your theme header.

    That said, thank you for the feature suggestion for a shortcode for the search bar. We look forward to implement this in the future.
