    Hi
I have 2 languages – is it possible for the floating switcher to display the language (and flag) that is NOT currently the language displayed. This would make more sense!

On the ‘English’ page, the switcher should display ‘Francais’ – and vice versa.

Currently, it displays ‘English’ on the English page!
    How can I change this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello,

Currently we don’t have this feature, but I wrote it down and we’ll discuss to see how and if we’ll implement it in the future.

    Best Regards

Hi there, I have the same issue, when someone doesn’t know the default language (e.g. English) visiting a website at the homepage, he/she will not know where to start to browse as the UI contains only the English language words, so the Language Switcher should provide an alternative language for the user to click to choose from? (e.g. Spanish, Japanese, Chinese….etc? )

Same here. Would be awesome if you could implement it soon.

I would love to have this feature too, I’t makes way more sense for it to show the opposite language, specially in my page that only has two languages.

Is this coming soon, can this be a possibility?

[EDIT] Sorry, I originally posted the following but then realised the discussion was about the floating switcher instead of the menu one

    https://translatepress.com/docs/developers/show-opposite-flag-menu/

For the floating switcher it would require some small changes at includes/class-language-switcher.php but they would naturally risk getting lost on each plugin update -though some might not mind.
