When a user loses their password and tries to reset it, and they try to return to the login page, they see a page with Wordfence on it saying “You are temporarily locked out”. As admin, if I unblock that user, and try to go to reset the password again as a basic front-end user, I again get the Wordfence page.

    1. Why does the user keep getting blocked after admin unblocks?
    2. How can I prevent a front-end user from seeing the Wordfence page when they try to reset their password again after being unblocked?

Also, why did the user get temporarily locked out in the first place just by trying to reset their password?

    Hi @lkane,
If you go to “Brute Force Protection” section on the “All Options” page, what do you have these two options set to?

    • Lock out after how many login failures
    • Lock out after how many forgot password attempts

If you have those lower than 5, you can try first increasing them to 5 or 10 to see if that fixes the issue. Sometimes plugins or themes cause additional login events to occur, which can result in unwanted blocks if you have very low settings for the above options.

That seems to have worked, thank you!
