• Hi I have a great quiz set up and I want to create another one in a similar style. Is it possible to duplicate the whole quiz, then go in and alter the categories and questions?
    TIA

Thanks but can you tell me how I dupplicate it?

    Hi
    Unfortunately i don’t no
This has been done by my Webdesigner
    Sorry

Hello @marlene32, do you want to duplicate the all quiz (from one webaite to another ) or just want to duplicate the quizzes in same site?

In the same site. I have the first one set up with specific results for specific questions via categories.

For this new quiz; rather than start from scracth I think it would be easier for me to clone the original quiz and then insert the new categories questions and results etc.
I just cant see anywhere in wp pro quiz that says clone or duplicate? How do I do this?
    TIA

Well if I say frankly I am bit confused with your question so here I am telling you the all available ways to duplicate a quiz inside Wp Pro Quiz.
    1. If you want to duplicate entire quiz means with questions then first export that quiz and then import the downloaded file. It will duplicate the same quiz with new shortcode. Now you can edit the Quiz name and other details.

    2. If you just want to use the same Quiz Description again and again then you can make/save the template from bottom of the edit quiz option. This will help you if you are using same criteria like – timing, result variables,

    3. If you want to use the same questions inside a quiz to the another quiz then you can use the copy questions after adding a new quiz.

I hope these ways may help you.

Thank you Praveen, apologies for not making myself clear.
Yes the first option is good for me. Of course…..! I didn’t realise, I can export and import, then just change the questions and categories. It’s because I have the results set up in a certain way – percentage by category that I am wanting to avoid building the second quiz from scratch – now I can just change the category names and questions
Thank you for taking the time to help me Praveen
Have an awesome day ?? <3

I think for your case option 2 will be good. Just save a the quiz data as quiz template and load it when you add a new quiz. It will return the exactly same settings of quiz – “result”, “Quiz Description”, “Email” etc. Try it once.

I can see the option to import a quiz – where is the option to export a quiz?

On the Quiz Overview page under Bulk Actions.

thanks – been using this plugin for over 2 years and never found that!

Actually I am using this plugin since 2013, So I have explored all the features as well as developed few new feature listed below
    1. Negative Marking feature.
    2. Fractional Marking Feature.
    3. Bulk Marks assign to all/selected questions inside a quiz.
    4. Clear answer button.
    5. Advanced layout for desktop.
    6. Student Profile Page.
    7. Exam History for the attempted quiz with result.
and still working on to improve this plugin.

Great news. Can you fix these too:
Remove the !important from all the css so it can be easily overridden.

Fix this bug: When activating the option to ‘Show only specific number of questions’, the custom fields ( $form{0} $form{1} etc ) are no longer translated in the results area. (I have a fix for this now)

Add a front-end way for a user to see just their own statistics and results.

Stop users from cheating by viewing the answers in the page source. This is obviously a severe limitation of the plugin.
