Price by Country module dropdown overriding checkout Billing country
-
Hi, I requested support on booster.io but haven’t heard back after the initial suggestion, which I acted on, but it didn’t resolve my issue. I thought this might be the better place to ask. The issue I’m having is related to the specific function I bought a Booster Plus licence for and it’s the only thing holding up the launch of my site now.
Here is an outline of the issue I’m having. Our store sells in three currencies. UK Pounds Sterling, Euros and US Dollars.
I have set up three country groups in the Prices and Currencies by Country module assigning a currency to each country we sell to.
On the top menu of every page on the site, there is a drop-down menu using the [wcj_country_select_drop_down_list] shortcode, allowing customers to choose their currency while browsing. This updates succesfully (although doesn’t always update the WooCommerce cart widget until I manually refresh the page)
On checkout, we want to force them to use the currency we have assigned to their country. This is linked to their Billing country.
I have the module set to:
Customer Country Detection Method: By IP, then User selection
Override Country Options: Override Country with customers checkout billing country
Override Scope: Checkout OnlyHowever, the setting of the dropdown always overrides the billing country selected at checkout. If I change override scope to ‘entire site’ the checkout billing country takes precedence at all times, but when I set it to ‘Checkout Only’, then the [wcj_country_select_drop_down_list] widget takes precedence regardless of what is entered in the billing box.
I’ve tried disabling other modules in case they are interfering with this setting but it didn’t fix the issue. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Many thanks
Fraser
