I have installed and activated awesome support in my wp site.
Then I go to plugin and click on setting, but it keeps going to “This page is not working”. I am using Ocean WP. What do I do to fix this?

    Hi:

Do you know how to turn on your WordPress debug.log files? If so, can you please turn them on and then check to see what errors are in the debug.log file? Also your PHP and APACHE logs might have messages as well that can indicate why the page is not working.

Can you also doublecheck that your PHP version is 5.6.30 or greater?

    Thanks.

    PHP 5.6.39
WP debug.log is on but getting no error message.
The PHP error log has no message either.

New fact, when the debug.log is ON, the setting goes to a blank page.

When the debug.log is off, the setting goes to “This page is not working”.

    Hi:

Are you running a regular WP site or a MULTITSITE?

    Thanks.

I am trying to add your paid support and time metric addons. But this basic plugin is not working.

Can I bypass this regular version, and go for the paid one directly?
Maybe the higher one will work?

    Hi:

There is no ‘higher’ version. The paid add-ons all require that this version be installed and activated.

Unfortunately, it sounds like there’s a conflict here. The process to figure out where its coming from is a real pain though. But, there’s no other alternative.

    The process is this:

    1. Backup your system just in case.
    2. Turn off all plugins besides awesome support. Does the issue go away? If not, switch your theme to a WP 2015/16/17 theme and try again.
    3. If after turning off the plugins and testing again, the problem did go away, just turn on each plugin one by one, testing as you go until it fails again. Then the last plugin you turned on is the culprit.

I know its a pain but its the fastest way to figure out what’s getting in the way.

    Thanks.

I need this plugin so I will do but then do I have to deactivate the culprit one?
    I may need that also.

    Hi:

At that point you will most likely need to choose one or the other. But maybe cross that bridge when you get there? First, figure out if one of them (or the theme) is conflicting and then you can be in a better place to make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Please let me know what you find.

    Thanks.

In case you are interested, I just found Toolset to be the culprit. I need to find a way to do withtout it.

    Hi:

hmmm…Toolset? Are you using the latest version? Also, are you using the premium version or any of their premium add-ons?

    Thanks.

Perhaps I am not out of the woods yet. After the setting opened, I just tried to open sub-options and all open up fine except for the products.

    Hi:

Do you see an error message on the screen? If not, what do you see. And is there any error messages that show up in the WordPress debug.log file or the php log files?

    Thanks!
