Trying to get the category name in a custom label. I think the best way to do this is with “Category (Dynamic attribute)”.

For simple products it works fine, but for variables it always shows “Uncategorized”. I think you should get the category value from the parent.

To clarify, it is not the google category (field “Category”) that I want, that field works fine, also for variable products.

    Hi gan100,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out. We have just pushed out a new release of the plugin (version 3.7.3) that should solve the issue at hand.

    When you create this mapping:

So map the custom label to ‘Category (not used for mapping)’ the plugin will show the original category name for both simple and variants in the product feed.

Hope this works our for you?

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Eva
