    Hello Thomas
Thank you for the awesome plug-in.
My site is currently using v.1.9.
My WooCommerce is at v 3.5.0

I have followed the instructions on https://gtm4wp.com/how-to-articles/how-to-setup-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking to get GA up and running for my site.

I have also updated the event names in the trigger as follow:
    gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC|gtm4wp.productClickEEC|gtm4wp.removeFromCartEEC|gtm4wp.checkoutOptionEEC|gtm4wp.changeDetailViewEEC|gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC|gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC

Everything is working as expected on GA except for the data in the Shopping / Checkout Behavior reports:

Shopping Behavior Report only captured data for “All Sessions”, “Sessions with Add to Cart” and “Sessions with Transactions”. Under “Sessions with Product Views” and “Sessions with Check-Out”, there is no data (0 sessions, 0%)

Checkout Behavior Report only captured “Sessions with Transactions” data. All the other steps are empty.

Would you please take a look at the site and kindly let me know if I have missed anything?

    Thank you much in advance

    Hi,

I’ve checked your staging site and for some reason the pageview hit does not include ecommerce data on the product detail page and on the checkout page.

Could you double check please whether you have enabled the enhanced ecommerce option in your GA pageview tag?

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have activated EEC for the Pageview tag per your advice and the Shopping Behavior Report is working perfectly. Thank you Thank you

However, the Checkout behavior report is still a bit off… while visits to Product page and Cart page are captured, Checkout page and Thank-you pageview are not. I did some screen-grabs to share with you at https://staging1.mybiointel.com/ga-reports/

    • 1st image shows the Shopping Behavior Report for 11/5/2018 – all data correctly captured
    • 2nd image shows the Checkout Behavior Report for 11/5/2018 – as you can see, when compare it to the 1st report, there are some stat missing.
    • 3rd image shows the Ecommerce Settings for the site’s GA account.

Any insight you can share with me are greatly appreciated.
    Thank you again.

The checkout behavior report does not work like this. There are fixed steps that you can show here:

    1. Billing data
    2. Shipping data
    3. Payment
    4. Shipping type

Just after this the “sessions with transactions” column will be added automatically by Google Analytics which will equal to your thank you page.

Thank you for the explanation. I also read your other post (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/enhanced-ecommerce-capability/) where you mentioned that addition for v1.8 includes:

“…support for tracking the checkout page more granularly. This will check the input fields the user is currently interacting with and fire GTM events based on what part of the checkout page is currently filled in.”

Do I need to add other event name(s) in the trigger in order to track all the checkout steps? Or do I need to set up new trigger(s) for this?

    Many Thanks

You can simply extend the list of events in your existing custom event trigger.

Currently, I have the following events in the trigger, am I missing anything? The Payment step is still missing data in the Checkout Behavior report.
    gtm4wp.addProductToCartEEC
    gtm4wp.productClickEEC
    gtm4wp.removeFromCartEEC
    gtm4wp.checkoutOptionEEC
    gtm4wp.changeDetailViewEEC
    gtm4wp.checkoutStepEEC
    gtm4wp.orderCompletedEEC

Thank you very much for your help

Sorry for this late reply: those are the event names you need to track.

I’ve checked your site again: you only have one payment option and for some reason the radion button next the the “Credit Card (Stripe)” label is hidden. Maybe this is the cause of the missing event.

    Hello Thomas,
Just want to report back to let you know the following:
    (1) By activating multiple payment methods, I was able to make the radio button (next to the “Credit Card (Stripe)” label ) to show up.
    (2) However, data for step 3 of the checkout behavior report remain empty — all test transactions show up in this report with “Dropoff” at the second step (Shipping data).

I understand that you are very busy and may not have time to look into this further… regardless, I still want to let you know that your responses and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you much

    Hi,

I am sorry for leaving this discussion open for such a long time.
As you noted: it was a really busy season in my job and I wanted to spend the holidays with my family.

Anyway, if you are still having this issue, I am now here to help again, just let me know.
