Why does this plugin use cookies?

As part of my attempt to optimize my website, I ran tests with GT Metrix (and others), and one thing noted was that there are a great deal of cookies on my site. When I checked, one of the culprits was this plugin. Why does this plugin require the use of cookies? Are you, the developers, collecting information from my site and, if so, what are you doing with it?

Really sorry to hear your bad experience about your site issues.
Are you 100% sure that this plugins (Easy Social Icons) deal with cookies? I think there is some misunderstanding, because as a developer of this plugins I can say no where of this plugins uses cookies at all, it does not collect any information of website or user as well, you can verify this with more advanced professional developer.
Can you send more details about how and where (specific code line #) this plugins collecting user or site information?
