404 error after home page

  • Sorry to cross post, not sure if this qualifies for pre or post install help!

    I normally use another web host that is actually WP easy, but new client has site(s) on GoDaddy (Grrr)… Uploaded WP because his account is not WP supported (??) and they told them it needed to be manually uploaded

    Get the home page just fine, but when you click the about page or any other link, you get 404 error, cant find page.

    I tried everything in my WP book of tricks to get it to work right and nothing seems to help.
