    Hi, I’m Andrea,
congratulations for the excellent plugin created.
I have only problem that I can not solve.
    I installed the following plugins:
    – Tablepress (ver. 1.9.1)
    – TablePress Extension: Change DataTables strings (I put the es_ES file in the folder)
    – TablePress Extension: DataTables Buttons
    – TablePress Extension: Responsive Tables

I create the tables inserting the thousand separator with a points (.) and decimal separator with a comma (,).
When I export in excel these separation characters are reversed, generating a lot of confusion.

    This is my shortcode:
    [table id=1 responsive=scroll datatables_buttons=’copy,csv,excel,pdf,print’ datatables_locale=’es_ES’ /]
    OR
    [table id=1 responsive=scroll datatables_buttons=’copy,csv,excel,pdf,print’ /]

I did some tests but I just can not solve the problem.
Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately, this is caused by the way how Excel interprets the data. Does the same happen when you open the CSV file in Excel?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi @thomasaspidi,

no, sorry, TablePress does not have such a function. Your best chance probably is to use the browser search function.

    Regards,
    Tobias

P.S.: Next time, please open your own thread here in the forums, thanks!

    thanks and sorry

    Hi Tobias,
no, when it exports to CSV it works well.
Only with Excel shows the comma in the separation of decimals.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

@ciampart: No problem ?? Sorry that I could not provide a solution here.

@cumboandrea: That’s what I thought. Unfortunately, your best chance is to use the CSV export then.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
The values in the tables are numbers, no numerical operations.
There is not the possibility to insert a text (example: 1.092)?
…and that it appears like this in the tables (1.092).
So excel will export exactly the value I enter.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

no, from what I know about this external JavaScript library, this is not possible (because of how Excel treats the file).
I can only recommend to use the CSV file and open it in Excel here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
