Hi, is there a way to add additional paragraphs to a footnote?

At present, if i were to write:

    [mfn]paragraph 1

    paragraph 2

    paragraph 3[/mfn]

Then only ‘paragraph 1’ would appear in the footnote.

    Thanks, Alex

Thanks! This isn’t possible now but it really should be, so I’ll log this as a bug and get this fixed.

In the meantime, there are some workarounds if you want to get your hands dirty in the code – searching “wpautop inside shortcode” will give some solutions.

Thank you. I’m not too hot on the coding front, but will have a look!

I’m using your plugin to flesh out articles, so some of the notes are 200 words+. If paragraphs were possible, this would present really well when the “expandable footnotes on desktop” option is selected.

That totally makes sense – I’ll definitely get the issue fixed! Might be a bit since I’m traveling for Thanksgiving next week but I’ll keep you posted.

I’ve got this issue fixed in the newest plugin update. You can now have paragraphs inside a footnote. Please let me know if you have any issues after installing the update!
