Any Analytics plugin only tracks visits on the front page, nothing on others
-
I’ve been doing your basic digital marketing steps (like adding Analytics, looking at SEO etc) for this website.
No matter what plugin I use to connect Google Analytics, it only sees the first page (called https://www.oncyt.com/new/). Other pages (such as e.g. oncyt.com/new/background) do not show up at all. For this plugin from ExactMetrics, it shows the little Analytics symbol in “All Pages”, but 0 views for all of them (except the homepage).
The connection between WP and Analytics seems to work – the Real Time screen shows my own visit to the front page, however nothing for the other pages.Albacross, for example, seems to show all the pages (maybe it has a different way of tracking?).
I can’t seem to be able to add the tracking code manually because it was build using something called SiteOrigin, I haven’t seen a way to manually add code there (maybe I’m wrong). Anyhow it should work without the manual additions.
I haven’t been successful in searching for similar issues on Google… help is appreciated.
EDIT: I’ve added the code manually and also looked at the source code of the front page and other pages. It seems like the code from the theme header (and from the plugins) is only being added to the front page. How is this possible?
