Permalinks in 2.8

  • How can I make permalink “custom” work in 2.8 beta 2?
    I am having trouble activating custom permalink (/%postname%), the screen goes blank and unable to access any page on the site. No errors are displayed. I have confirmed that .htaccess was created successfully. the only remedy I find is to go into db wp options and delete value of permalink_structure before I can view the site.

    Check your server’s error_log file. Blank pages usually means that PHP is tossing errors. If that’s the case then the error_log may tell you what the problem is.

    thanks..I checked and there is no error logged…
