ALT description/text is not working

    Hello,
    we have filled out the ALT text/description for the pictures, but when I have a look into the source code, I can see that there is displayed:

    alt=””

    Its not a problem of caching.
    It seems to be a general problem of wordpress.

    But its important for SEO.
    Who can help?

    The theme is often the culprit in this. WordPress does not output any images, but the theme does. Unless it is in a slideshow or something that is done by a plugin.

    But if I activate a function in the plugin CLEARIFY, which will fill automatically the alt-text from the post-description, it works fine.

    E.g. if a product name is “1 pcs product ABC”, the alt-text is correct alt=”1 pcs product ABC” .
