• Hello.

I want to get more familiar with coding my website. I want kind of be able to have “live” document or with all the codes that my website contains. So I can do commando F and just search for whatever is relevant for me to change. For now I use Avada theme but want to have like a good overview of all the codes in my website so I can kind of get a grip of what I am doing.
I feel so new and lost about this, but could someone give me a hint where I can see such a “whole website code” and some good tips on how to navigate and interpret the content.

Thank you so much for any answer!!

The “content” of you site is in the database, not in .html or .php files. So please explain what you mean by “the codes in my website”.

Thank you for volunterly answareing my enquiry!

Ok I have just started building websites and use Avada theme. There are though feuteres that I realize that I need need to code myself because avada or wordpress does not provide me with these feuteres. So That is why I want to learn more about the structure of the codes building up my website. I think we are speaking the same thing here when you say “content” and refer to the database. Would you mind helping me how to locate this database? Also do you have any suggestions on how I should proceed my learning about understanding the structure of my website codes (or the database)

Please ignore this the previous message! Read this instead thank you.

I did some research and got clearer about what I would like help with. So today I have wordpress and flywheel. I have my primary local site but want to start a second “test” site, where I can test and try out new things without worrying about changing the content of my primary local site. Also it is good to understand how to be able to run several websites in case I come up with new ideas. So my question is: How could I do this, where should I start?
Please forgive me if my question is not still precise, maybe you can help me to narrow it down in that case!

    Thank you again!
