    Hello fellow LifterLMS users & supporters,

    I have been having this weird problem lately. I suppose it has to do something with Caches. I followed the steps on the website – disable cache for logged in users through W3 Cache plugin. Flushed permalinks, but none of it worked.

    The problem I have been having is that when I enroll to the Basics course (I made it for free for testing) it works fine and redirects me to the lessons. But when I click on the next lesson it shows the lesson anyways (which is weird) because at the top I get a message “You must enroll in this course to access course content.”

    Same when I click on dashboard. I see that I am logged in but again I get on top message “You must enroll in this course to access course content.” Which does not make sense. Also when from the logged in dashboard I click on the enrolled course – it redirects me to the course like I am logged off (as I am a visitor and not a student).

    I hope I explained the problem atleast a bit. Really trying to solve this, because without this working properly I can not start using the website fully.

    Thanks alot in advance.

    Greetings

  • @pimbrands,

    I just created a fake account (if you email that address it wont get you secret email support, I promise) on your free course and I don’t see the reported problem.

    I’m able to navigate around the course as expected, completed a few lessons, etc…

    I didn’t see any error messages that seem like they’d be the result of caching issues.

    Did you actually flush your cache after disabling caching for logged in users? If not, can you try flushing the cache (not permalinks) and give it another shot.

    That might fix it for you.

    Hello,

    firstly thanks for the response.

    The problem occurs not when you log in and go through the course for the first time, but if you go to the main page and then back to the course. It shows again the “join” button as I am not logged in.

    Steps: login, enroll, browse (that works), but then back to “free blog” and/or dashboard – click on enrolled course – there is where the problem of being logged out occurs.

    UPDATE: I just found out the problem. It was the Multiple Theme Plugin which was causing the issues.

    Thanks for the response tho. Please lock.

    UPDATE 2: So the problem still persists.. In the free section when you log in for the first time, the course works fine. Then you return to homepage/elsewhere and again try to go back to course and it wants to enroll again eventho i am logged in.. :/

    @pimbrands,

    Have you tried disabling all plugins except LifterLMS and switching to a theme like Twenty Eighteen to see if you can rule out a plugin conflict here?

    This does very much sound like a caching issue and I just don’t have enough information to really know what could be causing this.

    Can you post a copy of your system report for me too please: https://lifterlms.com/docs/how-to-use-the-lifterlms-system-report/

    Thanks,

    @pimbrands,

    Since I haven’t heard back from you in a while I’m going to mark this topic resolved. If you need some more help here please just reply and I’ll reopen it and get back to work.
